Sumaguing Cave has the largest chamber connecting all the 60 caves of the town. It is also known as the Big Cave. It is the most popular and most visited site in Sagada. Stalagmites and stalactites form inside the caves over millions of years and are truly a sight to behold.
Here is just an easy trek and will definitely entertain your eyes and exercise your imagination. If you’re looking for sight seeing only, then you should just probably visit Sumaguing Cave. It’s an area full of descent with several shallow cave pool landings along the way.

Sumaguing Cave is also known as the Porn Cave, due to some rock formations depicting male and female sex organs.
Theory suggests that Sagada was once underwater, or the cave was once inhabited by sea creatures, due to the fossils found in the rocks of Sumaguing Cave. Here you will see sea shells and other fish fossils preserved on the rocks.
